Hi friendz.. :-) Today im gonna give you an interesting "Carrot Upma" recipe. If you feel bored with the usual white upma, then you can surely try this carrot upma..! You'll surely like it.. Lets get into the recipe now.
Ingredients :
Preparation :
1) Chop the onions and tomatoes. Cut the chillies lengthwise and chop the gingers very finely. Keep it aside.
2) Grate the carrots. Fry the cashew nuts in ghee,and in the same pan roast the rava for 3 minutes. Set aside.
3) Heat oil in a pan and then add Mustard, Channa dal and Curry leaves. Fry for 2 minutes.
4) Then add the chopped ginger and green chillies. Fry till the raw smell goes.
5) Next add the chopped onions and fry till it becomes soft, now add the carrots and fry for 3-4 minutes.
6) After the carrot is cooked well, add the tomatoes and salt. Fry well till the tomatoes get cooked.
7) Now add the required quantity of water. Wait till it starts boiling. Now add the rava little by little.
8) Mix it well without lumps and cover the pan with a lid. Cook in low flame for 5 minutes. Then switch off the stove and add the fried cashew nuts and mix well.
