Papad Bajji / Appala Bajji

This is a very simple snack recipe. During your tired n hungry evenings, this recipe will surely help you like anything.. :-) Even the ingredients used, will always be available in your kitchen. Try it whenever you have a craving for a yummy snack.. Lets get into the recipe now..!


Ingredients :

    1         Papad / Appalam     2 Nos
    2     Besan flour     6 tbsp
    3     Idli Flour     2 tbsp
    4     Chilli Powder     1/2 tsp
    5     Asafoetida Powder         1 pinch
    6     Salt     As Required    
    7     Water     As Required
    8     Oil     For Frying

Preparation :

1) In a bowl, add the besan flour and idli flour. Mix it slightly.
2) Now add required amount of salt, chilli powder and asafoetida powder.
3) Sprinkle little water and mix well without forming lumps.
4) This flour should neither be too watery nor to hard.
5) Now break each of the papad / appalam into 4 pieces.
6) Dip these pieces in the flour, and deep fry in oil. (The flour should be coated well in both the sides)
