  1. Hi Priya,
I tried this recipe it was very tasty Thank you :-). But the rice e was bit hard. I used the same 1:2 ratio but I fried the rice on ghee
before adding to water and kept for 2 whistles.
Could u plz clarify me whether does frying rice makes rice very grainy. And fires this procedures goes for basmati rice too?

    1. Hi..
Thank U very much for giving me ur feedback. :-)
1:2 ratio goes well for Basmati rice & Seeraga samba rice.
Frying the Basmati rice is usually done to make the rice non sticky.
But it doesn't make it hard. Next time U try to add extra half cup of water or U keep the rice in sim for 5 minutes after 1 whistle.
Also fry the rice for just 2-3 minutes. Dont over fry it.
I hope all my ideas will help U well.. :-)
Take Care.. Keep visiting my blog.. :-)
